I am proud to announce that to date our Winter Dance Party shows have resulted in a total of $149,000 in donations made in the names of Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens and the Big Bopper.

$15,000 raised from our 1999 40th anniversary WDP tour. A number of Music Scholarships were given out in various states by tour organizer Dennis Farland and his 40th Anniversary Musical Scholarship Fund.

$10,000 raised for Carson City, Michigan area hospitals, organized by Bruce Travers on July 15th, 2000.

$6,000 raised for the Save the Armory project in Duluth, MN from our WDP performance on Sunday, January 21st, 2001. This is the original building that the 1959 tour performed in and is threatened to be torn down.

$1,000 donated to the Ritchie Valens Recreation Center on March 25th, 2001.

$1,000 donated to Pacoima Middle School Music Department on March 25th, 2001.

$1,000 donated to Winborn Elementary School Music Department on April 25th, 2001.

$1,000 donated to the Buddy Holly Center in Lubbock, TX on Buddy's 65th b-day, September 7th, 2001.

$35,000 raised from our show for the Cruisin to a Cure benefit for the MDA in Dallas, TX on September 29th, 2001. And we're also proud to have been a part of the Jerry Lewis Telethon on September 3, 2000.

$1,000 donated to Ft. Howard Elementary School Music Department in Green Bay, WI on October 3rd, 2001.

$1,000 donated to the Buddy Holly Center in Lubbock, TX on August 28th, 2002.

$20,000 raised for the MDA in Dallas, TX on September 28, 2002.

$1,000 donated to the Buddy Holly Center in Lubbock, TX on August 28th, 2003.

$1,000 donated to Ft. Howard Elementary School Music Department in Green Bay, WI on March 1, 2004.

$55,000 raised for Carson City, Michigan area hospitals, organized by Bruce Travers on Aguust 27th, 2006, at the Soaring Eagle Casino in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan.

CURRENT TOTAL: $149,000.00

Other very notable people who have helped in our efforts greatly include Scott "The Col." Porter (WDP 2000 producer and yodeler), Mark Steuer (THE man in Green Bay), Janet "Class Act" Gollnick, Quincy Stringham, Dan Heikkinen, Maria Elena Holly, Niki Sullivan, Carl Bunch, The Valens Family, Brent Weycker and Titletown Brewery, Margaret Majerczyk, Marcia "The Kooky Cookie Lady" Lodl, Joe Mann, Wanda "The Cake Lady" Corn, Tom Morgan, WOGB in Green Bay WI, Mike Burke & Big Oldies 93.3, Peoria IL, Steve and Johnnie & WGN, Chicago IL, and probably many others that I've missed.
